Bonjour à tous !
I hope that you are enjoying the beginning of this new term of French classes at the Alliance Française de Cardiff. I am looking forward to meeting you before your French lessons.
Let me introduce myself, I am Maud Sampo-du Cray, the new intern at the Alliance Française de Cardiff. I will be here until December to welcome you before your French lessons, to work on the Alliance Française communication and events organisation. I'll attend the different cultural events organised by the Alliance Française such as our monthly Club de lecture or film screenings at Chapter Arts Center.
I grew up in Paris South-East and I am still studying in La Sorbonne University in second year of Master degree. My majors are Political Science, Geopolitics, Historical and Cultural Studies and Economics. I also love languages that is the reason why I have been studying English, Spanish, Russian and Chinese... even if I don't speak them fluently, yet. I am interested in cinema and French literature, Russian ballets, watching sport especially football and tennis and travelling around the world.
I am glad to be here in Cardiff being part of the Alliance Française team, discovering Wales and promoting French language and culture abroad !
Looking forward to seeing you ! A bientôt
Welcome back to our blog, we hope you've all had a wonderful and relaxing summer!
As September approaches, so does our Autumn term, and we'd love it if you could join us for one of our courses.
For our current learners who wish to re-enrol in a course, all you have to do is send us an email or give us a call to let us know what course you'll be following. We'll then give you a new enrolment form to fill out (as we've recently updated it) along with our bank details, and voilà, you're all ready to join us for another term!
For those of you who are hoping to join us for the first time, the process is just as easy. Simply contact us via email or telephone and we'll arrange a short meeting with you to determine what level you're best suited to and to find out what it is that you're hoping to get from the course. Don't worry, this isn't an interview of any kind; we just find that it helps if we meet you beforehand to understand your goals, and of course, it gives us the chance to start getting to know you too! We do recommend, however, that you take a short language test before the meeting (which can be reached via the following link: www.frenchcourses.org.uk). This will give us more of an idea of what level you're currently at, and will make our meeting a little more straightforward.
Not sure what course would suit you best? Why not visit our French Courses page for more information about what each course has to offer.
We hope to see you soon!
